APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

THE BUCK FOUNDATION ENCOURAGES YOU TO COMPLETE YOUR APPLICATION ONLINE AT THIS WEBSITE.  HOWEVER, TO APPLY USING A PAPER FORM, PLEASE CALL JAN BUCK AT 479-925-2597 OR E-MAIL YOUR REQUEST TO janbuck@cox.net.  Remember, the application deadline is Noon on March 4, 2008.   

It is suggested that you print out a set of blank forms by clicking on the "Print Blank Forms" link below.  By doing so, you may organize your thoughts and information before entering the secure online area to complete the application.  When you are prepared to fill out the online application, click the "CLICK HERE TO BEGIN FILLING OUT THE ONLINE APPLICATION" link at the bottom of this page.

There are a total of six sections to complete plus a signature page to be signed by the student applicant as well as a parent or guardian.  The signature page must be mailed to the address indicated with the proper attachments.  Each section must be completed and may not be saved to work on later.  The sections may each be completed at different times but once a section is started, it should be finished and "SUBMITTED".

Your personal letter may be typed into Microsoft Word or Notepad and then "cut and pasted" into the application form but no file attachments can be inserted into any section of the online application.  Of course, you may also type directly into the space provided.

Please note that for identification purposes, each section requires your full name and username.  Except for Section #1, this information is requested at the bottom of each section.  Additionally, you must type "YES" (in all caps) in the completion box and then click the "SUBMIT" button.

After submitting a section, you will receive a "Confirmation" on your screen.  Please click your print button and keep the resulting hard copy of the "Confirmation" page.  Next, click on the "Return to Form" link AT THE VERY BOTTOM OF THE CONFIRMATION PAGE and select the next section to work on.  It is important to receive a confirmation page on your screen each time you "SUBMIT" a section;  if you do not, then your section did not post to our database.

REMEMBER, each section must be completed prior to submitting it.  If you start a section and do not wish to complete it, then exit your browser WITHOUT CLICKING ON THE "SUBMIT" BUTTON.  You may complete the sections at different times, but once you start a section, you should try to finish it and then "SUBMIT" it.
