The Foundation is funded by proceeds from The R. E. "Ed" and Frances Buck Estate. They recognized that an investment in individuals is returned to the community, to the nation, and to the donors themselves. Mrs. Jan Buck is the Executive Director of the Foundation. |

WHO IS ELIGIBLE? |
|||
| Buck Foundation Upperclassmen Scholarships are open to current college students who graduated from RHS in 2005-2007 and who received a community-based scholarship upon graduation. Scholarships are to be used for college expenses for fall semester '08 and spring semester '09. | |||
WHEN DOES THE APPLICATION SITE OPEN? |

| We will begin accepting applications online on February 12, 2008. | |||

HOW DO I SUBMIT AN APPLICATION? |

|
Before NOON March 4, 2008: Fill-out the online application fully and completely. Send a full and current college transcript with a full class history of grades including fall '07 semester, a high school transcript, and a signed signature page to:
Official, sealed transcripts are not required. College transcripts may be emailed to janbuck@cox.net HAND-DELIVERIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. A postmark must be on the envelope. |

AM I ELIGIBLE IF MY SUPPORT MATERIAL IS POSTMARKED ON OR BEFORE DEADLINE DATE, BUT IS NOT RECEIVED BY DEADLINE? |

| No. Your application will be incomplete. |
HOW DO YOU SELECT FINALISTS? |

| Scholarship selection committee members individually review and score each eligible application. The committee then meets and chooses finalists. |
IS THERE ANYTHING IN MY RECORD THAT WOULD CAUSE MY APPLICATION TO BE DECLINED? |

| Yes: Your compiled college GPA is less than a 3.0,unless you have a particularly difficult major or unusual circumstance (i.e. hospitalization, death in family, poor college start but marked improvement). Your complete application was not received by deadline. |
IS THERE ANYTHING IN MY RECORD THAT WOULD CAUSE MY APPLICATION TO BE VIEWED UNFAVORABLY? |

| You have not worked during school and/or summer and were not enrolled in summer school, unless you have a particularly demanding major. You have a financial aid package that pays the major part of your educational expenses. If there are extremely extenuating circumstances, your application might be considered. |
HOW WILL I KNOW IF I'VE BEEN SELECTED AS A FINALIST? |

| You will be notified by phone no later February 3, 2008. |
WHEN AND WHERE WILL INTERVIEWS BE HELD? |
||
| All interviews will be held at the Rogers/Lowell Chamber of Commerce, 317 West Walnut Street. Students who graduated in '05-'06 will be interviewed on February 9, 2008. Students who graduated in '07 and those planning to attend a two-year college next year will be interviewed on February 16, 2008. |
WHAT IF I CAN'T ATTEND THE INTERVIEW? |

| If you have an unavoidable conflict or are attending college out of the area, a phone interview may be arranged. It is important to note, though, that it is in your best interest to make every resonable effort to attend the interview. If you are studying abroad, we can conduct an interview by emailed questions and answers. |
WHAT IF I CAN COME THAT DAY, BUT NOT AT THE TIME I'M ASSIGNED? |

WHAT IF THERE IS INCLEMENT WEATHER ON MY INTERVIEW DATE? |

You will receive an email notifying you when complete applications have been received. This refers to all components of your application: Online application received High School transcript received Signature page received Complete college transcript(s) (all colleges with grades of all classes) received |
ANY OTHER TIPS? |

|
Order your high school transcript before winter break. If you wait until RHS resumes in January, your transcript may not be received by the deadline. Don't wait until the last minute to begin the application process. If you encounter technical glitches, or get sick, or have another emergency you may not be able to complete your application by the deadline. The USPS does not guarantee next-day or three-day service. |
